Managed to get pics loaded, my metal work station, new rear chassis and tow bar socket. Today fitted the o/s arch and welded it in , starting on n/s tomorrow.

How easy is it to use a vice mounted shrinker / stretcher? Mine is a foot pedal type so both hands free.

As it was roded before 88 I think I can get away with it. Yes bit of a bugger holding metal in one hand and operating with the other , saying that could make a pedal as modified my bead roller as it was hard to turn handle when at bottom of turn. Welded an old impact socket to handle fitting , have a broken torque wrench with working ratchet so can keep turning with an easy motion. Need to fit some wheels to stand to move it!!!
Pics of rear arch , in the pic of rear chassis its not finish yet and will be curved and plated at joint.
The body sides will be panel glued on .

What I should have said was it was originally modified and back on the road in 85 , as I understand it that qualifies it to remain as historic ?

I used a motor drive from and old mobility buggy with a chain and sprocket drive to where the handle attaches, with a foot pedel. Run it through a 12v transformer instead of 24v (which is what they are rated for) and it works fine and travel is at a nice slow controlable speed.

Well 30000 time I altered the n/s B post position, got it right this time !! Made the header rail . Christened the folder and even managed to do a close double bend , welded it in and door fits spot on. Spot welded the n/s arch panel on, here goes I thought lots of fettling again BUT it fits perfect first time (knock me down with a feather duster!!
Couple of repair patches to make and then I can fix it in, then I can make inner sill bottom panels and the panels behind rear arches . Battery goes one side and air pump the other.
have some air connections and thought that will save getting some for air tank, no good as looks like they are BSP? and tank is dash fitting.
Didnt take any pics of arch just look at previous ones in the mirror!!!

Did a lot today, repaired arch and managed to get it to fit. Floor support fitted and boxed across the front, not enough 3/4 box but have some roof bars . Oblong section and covered in plastic that just slid off after a slice with blade, its 3 mm 20x 35 ? mm and was perfect to fix original section that goes behind seat that has lip for floor panel (1/2 ins ply) to sit in. Took pic but cant be bothered to load it as well knackered. Looked out of square to me but the stick of inches and spirit of levelness say different .

only if the original rodded parts are still used from what i gather. ie a pop with rover v8, jag irs and viva ifs must keep those basic parts. so if it got a small block chevy, a 9" rear and a drop tube front it is than 'substantially changed'. best to not talk about that stuff on open forums though whether we're right or wrong
    neil.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.
