While the panels fitted quite well (and were the correct thickness), the pressings were not as "sharp" as original and on the external panels I had to use a hammer & dolly to improve them. It's worth joining Chevy Talk - Chevy / Chevy Message Boards for the Chevy Enthusiast as what they don't know isn't worth knowing, some real knowledgeable Chevy guys on there.
Thanks for the tip about the trunking i shall look into that, as it is one of the main panels i am looking at making.
And thanks for the link on the website,i shall hit that up later when it gets quiet at work

These have all the sheet metal you need https://www.lategreatchevy.com/
As these cars have a chassis , You dont need to fully weld the panels as you would with a uni-body . I would fab my own floor panels .
    I bought a lot of parts for my 59 from https://www.lategreatchevy.com/ , Mine is a ratrod .

that is one of the sites I have saved...plus a few others, but thank for the heads up.
I know I am going to have to make some of my own panels as these particular ones are not made... but that is all part of the fun, I think

I love the looks of yours....full air ride I presume?

That will be an interesting panel fabrication exercise. Have you thought about a complete sand blast before you start making stuff. The only reason I say this is because I restored a capri (like the one above) some years ago and I'd make and weld a panel only to find more rot 2 inches away!! Would have been easier to get the lot blasted to see exactly what was left.
