    Hmmmmmm - that timber you've removed looks very much like the state of the garden fence I've just replaced (and that was only 10 years old) - I am right in thinking that I saw some 4 x 2 in that floor ? - BTW you'll get some money back on that engine - don't sell it too cheap!

    Yeah i think so, the guy before me seemed to just try and cover things over without actually fixing it, i found fiberglass covered over rusty holes in the back seat mount

    its funny what people do to cover things up, i found filler in my chassis around the spring hangers and newspaper in the sills

    haha cheers mate, replacing all the wood 4 metal. Funny thing today was doing an MOT 4 a bloke today and he knew the reg of my car turns out he owned it from 1969 - 1972 originally from monmouthshire apparently. Small world

    I know of a small block powered Alvis, looks stock with steels and hubcaps, dark red paint, cool as hell and a real sleeper. I'll see if I can find some pictures.

    Im considering welding up the back doors might look pretty good - any thoughts?

    Be even better if you could s-t-r-e-t-c-h the existing front doors, move the pillar back and THEN weld the doors up. More work but it would look far more balanced

    Take a large clear photo directly from the side and I´ll photshop it for you.
