no, looks like folding chairs robert when you enlarge the pic. you need them to sit on and eat your sandwiches at the back of the car at classic car shows, lol.
    neil.
edit : if there were they'd be on their way back to the circus where they get inside those little glass cubes

I have seen videos of stock Ruby's with 4 adults in there, looks quite achievable for me too. Handy sometimes to carry more passengers.

yep, the gearlever looks to be about where your bellhousing is though. changing gear by your hip when your already rubbing shoulders with the person next to you doesn't appeal to me to be honest, but it's not my car. just didn't want you to compromise the driving enjoyment just to be able to say ''i've still got a back seat too'' when quizzed about your car.
    neil.

Very clever with the weld through jig

Your welding is coming on as well, whenever I am asked if I can weld I always reply "not really but im good at gluing" although recently removing the radiator surround supports I welded on the drag car so I could fit a radiator not just a grill I had to resort to a grinder as they didn't fall off with a hammer so maybe im better than I think.....but still not as good as you

    Coming along nicely

Have you looked at motor cycle starter motors?

Motor bike starters - never even occurred to me that they may be a possibility.
I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
Focusing on other parts of the build now, starter can wait till later.

    Thanks for the compliments too!

I've made the body mounts and the engine and gearbox mounts.
Been playing around with the steering, it's all tacked together now, dont want to fully weld it until the body is bolted to the chassis, but that has to wait for the back axle to get sorted.

I decided to keep the rear part of the floor, its solid and has a nice little removable piece.

Replacing the rest of the floor. Here you can see the position of the gear lever in relation to drivers seat.

So I dog-legged the gear stick to put it in a comfortable position.

Here you see the manifold pointing straight towards chassis. The downpipes had been cut, the flanges all unbolted nicely, so I've ordered a couple of tight bends.
    Lots to do!
