    "Barn find" P5B

How about this for a barn find? (Ignoring the fact that it was me that put it in the barn in the first place)

Had this car for nearly 15 years, the last five or six it has been shunted from one storage to another. This year is the year it returns to the road, going to be lowered, some badging removed, one or two other very subtle custom touches, and I have an idea for the wheels which I think will look the dog's without costing a fortune.

First job however is to get it going and stopping, watch this space ....

    Always liked these.

If you can't be an example, be a warning.

Always wanted one, and think they would look very cool with minimum effort, just a bit of a slam etc.

Doesn't the Queen still drive one sometimes as she prefers it to something more modern?

Mileage from memory is in the low 80s. I am only the fourth owner, before me it was owned by Peter Boole an optician who did a lot to it, before that it was owned by a London orchestra musician, think he was a tuba player, called Bimpson Chievely - really! I spoke to him not long after i got it, he used it to carrry his four kids in the back in the days before health and safety. Don't know who owned it first, but ol' Bimpson had it from a couple of years old for about 20 years.

HM the Q does I think still have one, a saloon rather than coupe, at Sandringham but I don't know if she gets to drive it anymore. Must ask next time I see her

Had to google Willy G Davidson, somehow don't think he'd be interested!

Now I do love a P5B! Had many over the years. My last coupe had electric windows, sundym glass all round, electric steel sliding sunroof and twin batteries from new.
Under all that dust, is yours Silver birch/ Admiralty blue? My fave colours.
I'm not sure Her Maj has her P5B anymore. I spoke to a chap who claims he has it. I will be going to check it out!
