Well done on the award, great little video too, some nice rides there. How big was the show? We listen to The Rock at work and I heard it getting plugged on there.

Top work on the Dizzy too, be interested to se how it all pans out.

    XLNT work.

The custom car show was part of the CRC Speedshow. There were 4 large halls plus an outside 'live action' arena with the cars on display if they weren't driving. Probably around 2/3 the size of the Autosports show at the NEC.

Anyhoo. now have the start of the turbo tubes welded to the hat:

    Serendipity.....
Needing a roof infill, so looked around the garage for suitable material. Came up with this:

Cut from a front damaged Ford Falcon (Aus) bonnet (bought for $1 as I figured I'd use at least some of the metal), turned sideways.
Other than cutting it slightly oversize for the hole I haven't shaped it at all, and it follows the contours of the roof perfectly.

    Lucky eh?

Having seen the car 'out in the open' for the first time I decided I need to make some slight modifications, one of which is to lower it around 2".
Now that I've got the rear tyre/arch relationship about perfect I didn't want to hack the arch any more, so decided to move the arch/fixing panel and body line upwards by the requisite amount.
    So, cut the panel out:

And (after a deal of jiggery-pokery) found the perfect place:

This pic is a comparison after/before. Once the panel is welded back properly I'm sure only the real anoraks will be able to tell it's not stock!

The suspension is fully adjustable, so once it's on it's feet properly we can set ride-height to allow for movement. It'll be fine!

    Just finished this:

The most complex battery box of all time. It's taken Ages!
The battery cut-out is multi-drilled so that we can get the key in the right place for the pull cables.
The box bolts to the side of the chassis at the rear using countersunk bolts.

Lots of other stuff progressing with the car, but nothing photoworthy yet!
