If you look back a long way in the build you'll see that I put a glovebox in the original dash. This was always intended to house the main fuses and relays.
    I made up this panel:

The large (positive) terminal on the left-hand side will power the fuses. It has an isolator/insulator turned from a scrap piece of perspex to transfer the feed from behind the panel to in front of it:

There's a similar one on the RH side for earth, but doesn't have an isolator.

For all of you recyclists out there the list of components goes like this: Relay cover made from an old picture frame, plastic isolator plate cut from the top of an old washing machine, +ve post insulator from scrap perspex, -ve post (bottom right) made from a spacer off a scrap office chair, main aluminium panel cut from the f*ck up I made when cutting the floor, fuse panels came in a job lot of other stuff I bought, nuts & bolts from an old steering wheel boss. Bad news is that I had to buy the relays......but they only cost $15 for the lot!

    Remember this?

Well, just like about everything I've ever made for the car, it didn't quite work as I hoped.
So I cut it out and made a new one!

Shown here mid-lamination. It now works well and looks tidier, but bugger me - feeding the wires through for the headlights was an absolute *******!

On to more things. Spunky oil plumbing in black lightweight hose with custom silver anodised fittings!

Now you see why I welded tabs to the chassis here:

And on to the oil take-off block. Look carefully and you'll see a 'T' piece on the right of the oil block. This is for the turbo feeds.

Now I know you're all thinking that I must have come into money, but no! All of the fittings I used are pre-loved and have been re-anodised in silver by a local company.
In total the hose and fittings for the whole car (oil, Fuel, Breathers etc) have cost just under $300NZ (about 150 quid) but no-one will ever know! (Except for all of you on R'N'S, and everyone on Farcebook, and Drivetribe, and HAMB......)

No water jackets on turbos. They are hung out in the breeze though !

Just returned from a week off work to try and push the project forward a bit.
Did loads! Welded in the tub flanges and strengthening members to the body, spent a ridiculous amount of time reshaping more of the flip front (long story, but basically I found that the grille panel was banana shaped), added reinforcements to the front hinge. Generally did stuff. Not much of it really photo-worthy.

The one thing I did take photos of id the trans-tunnel which has now had flanges added to the surround for Dzus fasteners:

Now the tunnel can come apart for the very last mod.

I wasted a fair bit of the week with moving duties as we're moving house to an industrial unit with living accommodation.
This is purely for the toy(s) and not for any commercial enterprise. It's big enough that I have already rented out three spaces to other drag racers, so my project will be joined by a funny car, an altered and a 7-second Plymouth 'slammer. Happy days!
