Dash looks superb.
Stupid question, why leave a hole for the ashtray?? are you fitting one?
i may have to cut into the area where the ash tray is for the stereo, its not the normal set up. more on this later.
The shape of the dash is fantastic

Awesome work, I like the way you have kept the character of the original dash, the MKII GT and 1600E was the car to have when I were a lad!
ocd, tell me about it. missus has it really bad and it looks like it,s catching, drives me mad
all the dash switches came today
sorted the last bits of the dash, its now ready for the stereo and switches.
seems a real shame to cut a b rand new window rubber.
had some very good news today regarding all the windows. through a mate of a mate found a place that will custom make all the windows bar the front screen to iva standard for less than £500. they are in polycarbonate which is heated treated so scratch resistant . has it happerns they also made the windows for andy frost,s red victor 3.
if anyone needs windows give paul davenport from plastics 4 performance a ring on 01204811277. very helpfull guy
so will get all the window rubbers cut to size and the electrics sorted and get it booked in in a few weeks time. glad that the windows are now sorted as that was one big headache out of the way.
Great project and such good workmanship. Andy
