its available in 42.4 which can be bent on a 1 5/4 die ok.

33.7 which they do a die for.
smallest is something like 27.3.cant find a die for that but ok for straight bits.ill use 25 x 3 erw if I need bent bits.generally small diameter is non structural.

price saving over cds is huge

never looked at larger sizes as never use it.

sorry for hijacking thread.maybe mods could delete later

My dies are for 42mm. Wasn't sure if the 42.4 would fit. Worth trying I suppose.

no worries with the thread hijack, it,s always good to see how others go about stuff and its all a learning curve.

oldwomen, still trying to find a sherpa gear shift as that comes straight up with out the need to shorten it. even though the engine is a long way back seating position is very close to standard im just hoping a can get the bulk head far enough to the front to allow room for the foot pedals.

heres some pics of the mods to mytube bender.

first the mandrels, the sides dont come up enough so i added 10mm solid bar, v butted to the mandrel and welded them solid ( let the solid bar over hang into the mandrel so it can be set to the od of your tube.

i then had these v blocks machined up to replace the rollers that came with the bender.

with these mods it now bends tube really good. heres a 90 degree bend using 44mm tube.

forgot to add this, you can see that the mandrel sides come over the center line of the tube.hope the pics help.

    back to the build.

started the front section of the cage . bent up these side bars which will fit under the wings using 44mm tube.

    like so

the wings will later be bolted to these so i can remove them to make engine work alot easier. more on sunday.
