Plate LSDs can wind off when pushed in reverse, giving the appearance there is no LSD, It is entirely possible you have drive the plates apart, but when pushed forward the plates lock up giving the resistance

Nice work
very neat work on the cage there. are you going to add bumps in the chassis above and below the exhaust holes to put added strength in where the box is so slim in those areas now?
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.
thanks v8ian, will pop the diff cover off and have a look as i have dropped the rear axle off today. i now have another axle the same as mine i can compare it to .
been working on getting the last bit of the exhaust in, finished up the holes in the side of the frame rails.
they still want tig welding round the inside and then sorted the last bit of exhaust.
out of argon gas at garage so will take them to work to weld them up . mygasser , when the body is welded on and all the floors in i think the holes through the frame will be ok, they at least have tubes welded into them. thanks every one for your interest in my project it,s very much appreciated and will keep the updates coming.
Amazing stuff,
Keep going
thanks alan, the exhaust is now all done .back to the issue with the rear axle. stripped another rear axle today only to find the same problem wont drive forward.now im going to fill like a twit as it turns out that all it is . is that the nut on the front of the diff was loose.having sorted that it now works as an added bonus the new rear axle has bigger discs . the wheels are at the machine shop having the center bores opened up to fit the jag hubs and neil at brakespeed-motorsport is building me a pedal box, should be ready by the end of the week.also added a low entry side bars to the cage.
car is going down to a local car show in may as is and then it will be at the blackpool custom show so trying to get as much done as possible in the mean time. more soon

Glad to hear you've sorted the axle, feeling like a twit is much cheaper than a new axle or repair parts
Keep the updates coming
