the solution to the wide wheels.
widen the car to suit.this also puts it back into proportion with the stretch.
make some cuts
weld in an infill strip.
these are 2" wide so the cars 4" wider than stock
a bit of work went into the front screen area.
decided to keep full size opening as that saves having to cut down a screen at a later date.
while it was like this the screen was raked back a bit to keep it as low as possible without looking to radical.
also incoporated a roll over loop into the screen surround.couldnt get normal roll cage size cfs in so went down a size but upped the wall thickness to compensate.
side veiw showing the rake
showing how much the roll loop had to curve and infilling the front panels
filling in the inside gaps
Will be good to see the completed project on here mate.
Hope you are doing well, saying housebound always conjures up images of hospitals etc.
back to the rear
wanted a rolled lip round the rear.
started with this
then rolled it a bit more till i got a nice snug fit
added the side peices.used five seperate peices in the end
top veiw.you can see how the roll tapers out to meet up with the door tops

im fine.just a bit of self inflicted pain:>)
at this point decided to attempt the front again.
made the front quarters from scratch this time
much happier with the results
and the final bit of widening across the front
