Although the Sprite has "period patina" I really don't think it is right to have the paying public "admiring" my quick job, 13 year old spray painting.......So a local sprayer is going to do a respray if I do the prep work to keep the cost down.
The wing bead shows the sort of problem!
So I have started to strip the Sprite!
Used is good. I've found increasingly that people like that look. It tells a story. Maybe I'm just trying to justify the rattle can finish on my stuff.
Having had a holiday it is time to get back to the Sprite. I have removed the windscreen and wiper arm spindles, then I found the old roll over bar strut.....

The start of a lot of tedious rubbing down - fortunately I am using my small air powered DA sander this time!
....and the rubbing down continues.....
nice to see you back Phil
Slight change of plan and I have now pushed the Sprite round to my lock up to continue the work...It is now in different company....
Still rubbing down and nearly finished one side.......
I have now got round to the other side of my "Frog".....It takes a long time because my air compressor is too small to feed the DA sander....I have to build up the pressure, quickly sand a small area.....then wait until the pressure builds up again!
Still, I have also started to build up some low spots with spray filler.
