    Steve,ive got the box out of henry,the motor is coming out of the Nova saturday,(very likely knacked)the Camaro ,and the Cortina are due MOT at the end of the month,BigJob is long overdue an refurb,oh,and ive got the 3Wcoupe in a squillion bits for when i get bored,so that isnt on my shopping listBry

    Well after the second pass at the Nos,nats,we had a "knocking" which seem to eminate from the gearbox ,ive got the gearbox out of the car.and it appears to be absolutly fine,maybe i should have tightened the flexplate bolts with a socket,instead of my fingers before i installed the box,eh guys:****er:Bry

    Bry,i can see why. Take all paint off around the holes and chamfer the hole generously.. and use a socket..

    if thats the only thing you missed you did a blinding job. once the bolts shear the engine revs reeeeally quick without the convertor to spin! very cool rebuild.
