The longest Model A build ever (well it feels like it)

I've been building this 29 Model A for far too long, so I thought if I put a build thread here it might encourage me to pull my finger out and get it finished (working 6 or 7 days a week doesn't help). It was going to have the pickup body in the photo's on it, but I've had a change of heart and am now going to make a 29 roadster body for it (pick up body is for sale).

The chassis I made from 4x2 box tube, usual stuff, obviously kicked up at both ends to get it low enough, and no, the back tyres aren't staying but they are the same height as the white walls I'll be fitting when it's finished.

I'd already made cross members, the decided to cut them out and make these ones, which I like a lot more.

A few more pics, I'll update tomorrow with more (supposed to be working now )

I put 2 one piece plates in each chassis rail in the kick-ups, these were welded in place as the 3 pieces of the rails were welded together (hope that makes sense)

I'm putting these plates on the joins at the rear of the chassis, I think they're called fish or fisher plates?

this is a gusset in the chassis rail/rear cross member joint and the top shock mount, which is probably a bit obvious!

Wax on, wax off. I've sold my pickup body so I'm getting ready to make a 29 roadster body, a couple of very small repairs and the mould's good to go. I'm hoping to get a body on the chassis at Christmas, I'd be over the moon if I can.
