Ma boy - the amazon sled: Phase 1

Time to unveil my baby to the world, after his first outing in 'phase 1' guise at the South Coast Internationals Show. Massive thanks to Bart for all his efforts in getting him up together for last weekend - my cheeks ached from grinning for the full 5 hours it took to drive there from Cornwall, and the duration of the weekend, and the drive home Oh, and thanks to KustomMike for creating him in the first place

As he was when i bought him (he was named Jurgen before I got him in exchange for cash)

Then it was new radiator, clutch, flywheel, front and rear crank seals, cut and fit windscreen and 2 new inner wings (see below)

Followed by some more welding to outrigger, floor pans, wheel well, p/s rear arch and door...

Next bit - baking the boy for his dirty adolescent phase masses of effort on the body courtesy of Bart and Birdy (and some from me, for what it was worth!)

en route to the paint shop - oh no officer, it weren't me

    One in the oven

The best bit (although Bart and Neil might not agree... serves me right for buying a carpet set rather than having one made ) putting him back together and taking him to the show - yey!

In the garage next to the daily before leaving

With Mike's Victor in the camping field

Hiding under a tree in the showfield, chuffed to be part of UKK line-up for the day

Still jobs to do, including retrim interior, get the AREs on and get some new side glass cut but generally chuffed to bits with his progress (freeking war and peace effort is testament to that!). Then save up for Phase 2 (different powerplant, some fettling of the front and back ends and maybe some shiny shiny kandy) but happy to enjoy him as he is at the mo

A superb roof chop, the lines flow really well. Well done to Mike for that, and to everyone else involved in putting together this lovely car.
