    Making a p-u out of a Y sedan.....

This is my latest project i'm building a pickup out of a sedan body, shortened 12" chopped 4" and modified within an inch of its life... all wood removed and replaced with steel, flat fire wall ... soon to be fitted with a small block chev once i get the chassis built.
Not sure weather to make a pickup bed or leave it with the axle out back .

I love people making P/ups out of full bodies...

Really wish I could have made the roof work on mine, but I will get round to making a removable hardtop sometime...

Good work, (much better than my bodywork...!!!) keep us informed...

    A bit more progress.

I had some spare time today,so i measured up for the frame and got the middle and rear rails fabbed up.. it's gonna have a 4" kick up in the front and 18" in the back.. it's nice to finally make a bit of progress.
I can't wait to get this thing rolling.

cool project , im doing a 36 ford c-type into a pick up at the moment , will look very similar to yours , think these '30's brit models are often overlooked for some unknown reason .

    keep the pics coming

it's got a back bone now!

I got a bit more work done on the pick up... , fitted the body mounts, and got the frame all tacked and squared up.. fitted it under the body.. all's goin to plan!

Also fabbed up some pannels for the bed sides , can't really do much else untill i have the running gear engine and box, think i might sort the dreaded doors out next.
