thank you glen and rigante , i never knew that .
it is a safety feature , friend of mine kept going on the rearbrakes only untill those failed too , drove his car intoo a line of parked cars .....,. verry expensive misstake
hoke a kokay ,
well struggling to get a bit of work done in the christmas melee, you may remember in the last episode we were investigating a way to support the shaft of steeringness.
i had a hunt in the crystal cave of wonderment (spares shed/greenhouse) and found a shaft with a pulley on it and a couple of plummer blocks . this came from a old huge compressor i scavenged ,and then changed motors and stuff on , and i was left with this jackshaft spare .
now the amazing thing is , the id of the bearings ,was the same as a ) the od of the minor column ,and b) the od of the section of the taxi shaft i wanted to use .
and yup , drilling those holes for the bottom bearing block was not easy .
i am going to bring the dash back to hide this mount behind it
so that gives me 3 good mounts .( a bit like hugh heffner ! (badum tishhh))
also ,my good man alan the rock god of black bourton , gave me a sofa , i intend to try to make into a bench seat for it a la bugatti 58, or is it 59 , i cannot remember .
cumfy wumfy !!
Oh ps I forgot to say ,I need a shaft with 9/16 splines on the ends. Anyone know what cars had those ?

my grandparrent had a sofa like it , the leather buckets could be taken out of the frame in one piece . should make putting in in the car a little eazier
Time for me to just say hello again.
Like the couch donor a whole lot.
Of course the garage cat previously posted gets my vote. Considering I have Harley always helping.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM MATE.

god knows how the sofa will turn out , but hey its free , and a lot of nice dark green leather .
