Mk1 fiesta ( soon to be turbo )

Not everyone's cup of tea but while the mopar is at the dyno and layed up over winter , I took the opportunity to relive my youth , from a young age I love front wheel drive turbo cars has plenty Renault 5 and escort rs turbos ,
So when the mk 1 fiesta came up cheap i could not resist as a cheap winter project
The idea is a seam welded 2.0 turbo 2 seats roll cage no frills toy .
So started stripping it , as only get a couple of hours in the evenings , get it ready for shot blasting to see what's missing .

I know not everyone's cup of tea but there you go.

    Wanted o/s mk1 xr2 headlight surround (round )
    Dazza

Had a couple of fiesta ghias as daily work hacks quite a while back,
They were once considered a modern hatchback but looked at more as oldskool now

back in the say when these were less rusty and purchasable for reasonable money ie late 90's i did envisage purchasing one and would have gone for an Xpack kit.
If I had the skills back then - alas still dont - would have loved a V6 rwd version as i know some people had made the conversion under standard arches etc so a street sleeper.

Had one myself with a 1.6 XR3 (CVH) motor and five speed 20 years ago. Had to cut and modify the inner wing to fit the box, modify the tie rod and shorten one drive shaft. But it went well afterwards. Good luck, great car.
