Th rust on the rails is superficial and nothing to get worried about, but it looks horrible.

I lifted the body off tonight so I can get the fron suspension mounted square to the centre line.
I will lift the engine out as well so I can measure all the dimensions properly.

While the body is off I intend to make the centre cross member and engine mounts and have a good look at where to put the K sections and the rear end mounting.

The rear axle is a 65-66 mustang, so possibly quite desirable to the classic american lovers.
its the perfect width for mine, but the ratio is too high and Im struggling to find tha right wheels at a good price.
Might rethink that and buy a differnt axle.

Nice to see someone else using a 4 speed box. I'm using one in my 33 plymouth instead of the usual auto box.... I'll be watching this space
I'm not the best welder in the world.... but I'm in the top 5!

The 4 speed seems to look smaller and my car is tight. I couldn't find a good lt77 either. I got a flywheel and clutch to with this box and a selection of shifters.

the 4 speed isn't very strong, they're basically the 2.0 box with a v8 bellhousing. fine if you don't abuse it though.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.

It whined a bit when I bought the donor car ( 30 years ago)
    Maybe use the 5 speed.
Need to shorten the lever extension housing then.

Thanks. Postings tend to be infrequent.
It is a budget build, so Ihope you like it when it's done.
