My A35 bodied hotrod first build: Winter changes

I have been working on and occuping myself with this for the past seven months, although working on the body for the past two. It is a Reliant Kiten chassis with a Pop front axle and Triumph Spitfire front brakes (and rims when I can find a pair for sale somewhere!). The rear axle and the engine is just stock Reliant, and the rear wheels are 14 inch Moggy rims. The bodyshell is an A35 body which I am going to cut out the floor and replace it with a new one made from sheet, to fit the chassis. In the process I will channel it 4 inches, and fit a new flat bulkhead. The grill is going to be a Morris 10 grill which I am also doing a little filling and sanding on now and then. The grill shell itself has been cut back a bit. There are some pretty large rust areas (two in particular), on either side of the rear panels around the arches, but I thought I had better get the floor in at least before I start on that. Tyres are next on the list though, and more box section for another strut for the floor frame and more bracing before I cut anything else out of the body/floor. Hope you like!

Fabricated an extra peice of floor bracing for the chassis today, which will be on the kickup. I know it crosses the path of the prop tunnel, but the propshaft will not go that far anyway, and the diff won't go that high in suspension travel, so I should be safe. The tunnel is very oversized, and the top is the same height as the top of the chassis on the kickup (7 inches)! I also got some metal for bracing in the body.

Today I took out the wiring from the bodyshell, and made some extra bracing for the bodyshell, but it isn't welded in. I took out the rear lights and bumper, and did some more sanding and filling on the grill shell.

I've got to at least get that floor out before I can even hold it over the chassis to see how it will be, but I can't wait either!
