    Progress has been made.
The single side draught carb I have been using is mine, and part of a pair.
The intake is an Aussie one called a Lynx.
    Belongs to a mate.
While the car used to be on twin side draughts, they were belonging to a mate.
    See the trend?
I bit the bullet and got a manifold, built up the dellortos (I prefer them to webers) and fitted them.

Put an ad on the club facebook page and found an even cooler (to me) one.

And the old cables were shagged, so I splashed out a whole €6.30 on a new set from the bike shop

Now all I need to do is learn how to time it!!

Its only almost a year later!
The car never would run properly for me.
So I sold off my "keeper" spares and its now in the hands of ,yet another, mechanic last week.
A man well thought of when working with Fords, this time.
He immediately spotted a few things missing, broken etc and made a wee shopping list for me.
He started work on it today.
I had to weld in two sill ends a while back, as they had filled with muck that held moisture, probably from the rear tyres, and rotted from the inside out.
An "el cheapo" rattle can paint-job happened, to hide the repairs, until i can afford to paint it again.

    Wish me luck!

They say things have to get worse before they get better.
Well I am now told that my freshly rebuilt carbs.........need a rebuild!!
And I had to buy a new dizzy and a spare module for it to get to this point.
The lad working on it, and the rolling road operator both say change to webers but its a lot of money.
