    Hi
    Thanks for all the input
I want to use as many of the original parts a possible on this truck. I just want it to go a bit faster and stop a bit quicker without losing it's overall character, so unfortunatly the rear leafsprings will have to go back on. I have given the chassis and rear axle a coat or redoxide

While waiting for the paint to dry i removed the steering box, it's going off to be reconditioned.
I then gave the chassis and rear axle a couple of coats of black satin chassis paint.
Re-assembling the rear end was very satisfying. With new shakle pins and bushes, new brake shoes wheel cylinders and brake pipes, it gave me some insperation to get on with the rest of it

Regarding the propshaft. After changing the flange to accomodate the new axle i found it was 3/4 of an inch to short. I had 2 choices send the prop off and have it lengthend £165.00 + carrage, or have a 3/4inch spacer made up £20.00 Hmmmmmmm Anyway i fitted the new spacer i had made.

    That's about it for now.

    Nice truck, different, interesting, English!
That sherpa back axle is the same as taxi, pre 1992. I think sherpa was 4.1:1, whereas Taxi was 3.9:1. Also Sherpa wheels were smaller, taxi are 16". Might be of help. Keep them pictures coming.
