    Thumbs up

I've always loved how deep the doors are on these fab cars.

    Thanks guys.

Well, the exhaust system turned out to be fun, it just wouldnt fit, it was bought back in the 90's so i couldnt ask for my money back The gaskets between manifolds and H pipes just didnt work, in fact the whole system had to be custom mounted in the end as the supplied hangers just did not fit but its all on now and secure.
The new fuel tank is on with new custom made straps and a new fuel line is also fitted up to the fuel pump. All brake lines are also now fitted and the system has been bled. Handbrake cable is also refitted with new custom made linkages.
The rear bumper has been superbly restored by the platers in Wembley, and is due to be chromed next week. The last major piece to be chromed is then the front bumper which should be in Feb next year.
Most issues with the engine are now resolved and next week we will try to get oil pressure up before attempting to refit the last remaining components and fire her up for the first time in almost 24 years!........watch this space.

Rear bumper after repair and linishing

New exhaust and tank in place, next major job underneath for next year will be to powdercoat the axle, hubs and springs

Just a quick update, before Christmas we managed to get oil pressure in the motor which was a big worry off my mind.

The first proper startup was last week and all went well. It ran for 20 mins but needs a lot of tweaking.

All the gears seem to work but are just out of alignment and there is vacuum pressure in the brake system.

This week should see all of those things sorted and we can drop it on its wheels and test the gearbox out and then hopefully back home soon.

Quick update, its now finally running and driving. The carb needs setting up properly and there may be an issue with the torque converter which was never replaced/rebuilt which im now regretting but at least its now home again after 6 months, and it moves.

Time to start fitting everything back on again now as it looks a bit naked!

Rear bumper is now finally on with all hardware and electrics, light surrounds were a real challenge, they looked like scrap but were saved - https://www.flickr.com/photos/63tbird/16846378855/

Brilliant build. This will be a real credit to you once it's finished and as soon as you take to the open road all of those hardships will seem worth it!
