hi guy
i made them
broke em down to three bits to make it easy.
the bit that fits to the sill was a bit bent ,then shaped with the skrinker to get the curve.
outside bit was just flat.
tricky bit for me was the middle curve bit as it arcs as well as curves.
i got a bit of flat, and pulled the shape round a bit of pipe to get the required curve.
then used the stretcher on both sides to get the right arc.
having not done that sort of shape befor, that way worked well
have had a couple more days on this and the cage/chassis is slowly getting there.
bit busy with other things at the mo
Rv8,4.6 block,billet steel crank,5.0L,top hat liners,H-beam steel rods,forged pistons,roller rockers,SDi heads,big valves,re-chambered,ported,one off cam,made to my own spec ! 4-71 blower 10% overdriven
been busy building an extension on my garage.trying to get it completed for the new year so only managed a few days per week on this.
have got it up to a roller and job for today was hooking up the steering system.
random pics to bring it up to date
yes ring rollers for the bars.really need to upgrade them for a decent make.
cheap chinese crap though they do for gentle curves.
added 300 sq foot to the garage.had a brickie in for the walls and done rest myself with a helping hand from a few locals on here.concretings so easy when theres six off you.put in a two post lift as well
inside is 43 x 29ft.just about the right size for working on one car though i do have a back up garage and car port for another 5 vehicles.
biggish garden, neighbours are fine.all know what i do.luckily theres nothing behind my garage and far enough away from our houses for noise problems.always keep the door shut if grinding ect.
downside is i have a single drive so getting a car in can be a challenge sometimes ,as everything has to go out the front.have a four post lift to go in between garages so i can swap round that way in future.
do have a bad habit of taking my scooters through the house sometimes
it really is a good set up and i only have to walk 50ft to work everydaymsl:
