So i did advertise my pop on here to sell however the other day a kind nsra member phoned me up and told me he was able to get insurance on his 3.5L rover v8 at 21 so i have renewed hope.
So now in the 1.5 years i have before i'm 21, i'm rebuilding my pop. I started on saturday and will be doing it every saturday and maybe a few days during the week.
I've started with the interior and i found out a lot of new things about the pop i did not realise before...
Firstly the floor is actually wood along with the make up around the handbrake

Hey Scott,
Good call mate, it'll soon pass and you'll have a better car when the time comes.

so not much work has been done as my dad has been doing 4x4 challenge events and putting new ramps in the workshop but the interior is now bare.
Around the doors to keep the trim in, was packed with the stuff that goes around boxes.. the plastic strips then the trim was hammered in with nails

A lot of progess has been made but no pictures to show because i dont have a computer cable on my new phone :/. There is nothing left of the interior, all the floor and center consol and prop shaft tunel is out.
Fuel tank is out along with all the wiring and bonnet, dials and switches
My most recent purchase is a supercharged 3.9 rover which falls in line with the insurance at 21, it also came with stainless steel headers and a newly reconditioned gearbox. I've priced up all the parts i'm going to need and i recon 1500 should pay for everything mechanical and another 1000 to outfit the interior so not too bad

Looking good! Like to see young blood into hotrods think I was 21 ,22 when I insured my Model A through classicline which had a rover in and they don't go on engine size it's just on value of the car I payed about £230 for the year which I thought was very good at agreed value of £16k anyway keep up the good work!
