So I randomly typed in "ford pop fibreglass flip front" into google images and I found the thread on NSRA where my pop was sold the first time NSRA forum - f/s ford pop hot rod v8 lower price!!!!! learnt some new stuff about it but it was definatly changed a few times since then again. At least I know how long ago it was first hot rodded now.

As for progress, the new tube parts of the chassis are nearly all welded in. Just need to cut the rear bulk head for the rear roll cage supports to go through.

I've got a set of hedman headers that i've cut and rewelded so they fit but now the steering column shaft has to go between the block and the headers and the angle of the shaft means it touches the engine mount so i'm either going to cut a little square out of the engine mount and replate it or rotate the steering rack a small amount (if its possible). i'm going to route it along the top of the chassis then up through the bulkhead.

Got the calipers back and they look brand new, repainted all new seals and pistons, bigg red did a brilliant job.

Should be able to mount the rear axle again soon as its all painted and back together, need to paint all the new parts of the chassis, also the rear floor panels are the next to be welded in, going to weld them to the original body.

Everything got massively dusty cos the ramp the pop went up by itself and i had placed the flip front on top of the car and it ended up going through the ceiling and causing all the roof tiles to fall down and 2 inches of dust lay on top of the tiles, but its not a bad thing cos they all need to come down so vans can fit on the ramp when the pop is done.

Also got to thank wisbech engineering for selling me a second hand hub carrier for my jag IRS, one of them had a large crack all the way through the top part of the hub, its a shame cos the hubs had been drilled and a bit shaved off of them to make them lighter.

was the bit 'shaved' off the hub carrier for chassis clearance. worth checking so you can do the same to the new one if need be.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.

I did think this but I'm hoping not, can only check when the axle goes back in. It has been drilled as well to lighten it so hopefully it'll just be for that rather than clearance.

Finally around to welding the floor in and making all the brackets for fuel tank battery tray etc.

    Door bars are also in

Going to be sound proofed and carpeted so none of the panels will show at all.
