hi foz,
i will let you know about the crank, its very tempting. if i can get a 3.9 block i will give you a shout.
i am having some adaptor plates cut this week and will be selling them with all the bolts and bits needed to bolt the gearbox up to the rover.
they will need a rover flywheel machined down to except the rx8 ring gear and i also at the same time i had the flywheel drilled to take the rx8 clutch .
as soon as i have one done i will get some pics on.

Chop, the crank comes with the rods and pistons too

will the 3.9 block need boring for the pistons. better get on ebay and find a block.
