Massive potential with this as it looks uber cool even before you work your magic!
Any ideas or thoughts on colour schemes/combos yet?
Never been a fan of Veedubs, but this one looks awesome.
If you can't be an example, be a warning.
got the news i have been waiting for today, chassis is all ready to cut at the tube lasor,s and there hoping to get it done in the next couple of weeks. ordered the box section to make a new table to build the car on so in the next few weeks should have loads to do.
found these old pics of the fastback i had over 30 years ago.
sadly it is no longer.
chassis has now been cut, pick it up on friday.
have been wondering which way i wanted to go with this build and over the last few weeks i have been trying to come up with the style of car i want to build, well i now know what i want to build.
i really like the pro mod cars, stretched front end and all so what im going to build is a street version of a pro mod. going to wedge cut the body between an 1! and an 1 1/2", extend the front wings about 4" just in front of the doors. with the front end looking nice and low im going to keep the rest of the car the way it is. keeping it on proper street wheels and tyres, full interior, no roll cage, bumpers and a nice injected engine i think it will make a cool street cruiser .
cant wait to start cutting it up.
Going to be a cool project how much of the shell are you cutting away to make room ?.
im afraid most of the inner structure will have to be cut out but on the good side it all might come in handy for someone who is in the process of doing a type 3 up as mine is solid inside.
That's why I asked . just about to start tearing apart a friends square back and its looking a bit ripe.
i have a load of parts for sale on the type 3-4 forum. just pm me what you want.
