Is it yours? If not sorry to hi-jack the thread with my reply. It's related though.

I used to have one back in the 70's (1935 series 1) and was part way through the build when I had to move it cos the garage owner where I was building it in wanted his garage back to make way for a housing development. I found a "friend" who let me store it in his small garage. (no room to work) until I was able to find a place of my own. I was unemployed at the time. Anyway, when I went to collect it about 3 months later I found he had scrapped it because he thought I no longer wanted it! He never thought to ask. :****er: To say I was gutted is an understatement more like devastated which put paid to any thoughts of rodding at that time. It's taken me all this time in recovery () to get over it. That and bringing up 3 kids and a mortgage.

About 3 years ago heard about a local meet of hot rods and went. Since then the bug bit and I am back on track. I want a 34 Ford sedan delivery but again lack of funds mean I can't have one unless them balls fall right. In the mean time I've just bought and begun to rod a 1935 Austin 10 Lichfield. Going to have rover power and retain the 4/5 seats and MGB rear axle and uprated original front beam axle with jag hubs and discs.. Not much rust on mine really.

The previous owner had 'restored' the body supposedly about 10 years ago. Stripping the paint revealed bodge after bodge so out withe the grinder and I've nearly finished replacing the rusting body parts that need replacing. Rust converter will have to do for the parts/areas I can't get too whether they need it or not. Anyway enough of mine. let see more of this build.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body , but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy shit ... what a ride"

Wonder if he's going to section the car through the middle ( but only at the rear end ) to make it wider. Would mean he gets the jag stuff in and from the back would look like it's had a chopped roof.

But if anyone can do it !

its all been done befor and certainly aint trying to reinvent the wheel.

mocking up a bit while waiting for a delivery.

was tempted to reuse original chassis but thats not going to happen as with the new stance its a bit to close to the floor.
middle crossmember is about 10mm off and the front valance will need to be trimmed a bit

    naaa
    customiser ,never a rodder

well the jag fits the front just with a little trimming of the inner panel.

slid it under with a wheel on to work out how wide i could go and not hit the arch on either lock.

may have to reverse the top mount though to get a coil over in
