I used a wedge so I did not have to machine the manifold and I could only get 5,7,12 degree wedges from real steel and since I have CNC mill at work it’s not much of a problem to machine off a couple of degrees. The wedge was only £20 so I can play with carb angles once the car is up and running.

    Roof position

Time to position the roof on the chassis and tack weld it in place with the carb in position and the door seal edges aligned with the chassis door seal edges.

Just thougth I´d try this, to show you were you are, proportions wise. I didn´t want to add any particular styling of my own, as I´m sure you have your own interesting ideas, and I´m looking forward to seeing them. (If the car looks a little deformed, it´s because there is a lot of distortion on the photo).

Thanks James D does give the car an outline, lots of ideas but no real shape yet. But I have just got the side window glass from a face lift XJS (one piece glass not two) so I only need to sort out the rear glass and this depends upon whether I go for a vertical rear window or should it be at an angle?

Angled rear window gets my vote, I think having it upright would make the proportions look too blocky, but its your car so do what you want to it
