Just read this for the first time, start to finish Steve, very impressive.
How'd the weekend go? Well, at the moment it looks like a dolphin that's been caught in a boats propeller.

Must have a friday afternoon one mate
Think its a combo of believing the part companys bull ****, " bolts straight in" yeah ****ing right ! & not asking what others owners had fitted before I bought it.

    Steve,

Another fantastic example of the talent that lurks in garages all over the UK.

Looking forward to seeing it out and about.

    Cheers Paul.

Its another prob with the engine mounts Kev.
I bought them from CCI, they put the block a fag paper from the bulkhead. Modded the mounts, to move it forward. Now I have the engine (was mocked up with a scrap block) the sump touches the r & p rack
Going to try another sump I have or mod the sump (with 'kin big hammer ) or mod the mounts again.
In 2 minds to cut the ****ers off, throw them in the scrap & fit the mounts that most normal people fit.
Let you know after the weekend.

Oh, and a whole lotta other stuff over the build
What annoys me, is that I bought stuff that is suppose to bolt on, ie 57 Chevy parts to fit a 57 Chevy & it dont 'kin fit !
Wonder if '87 Mustang parts are the same hassle
The doors open, but the ride it aint free.

Having read a fair bit about Tri Five engine mounts lately it seems that they are very much not 'one size fits all'. Various people have determined that the dimensions are slightly different between the seamed and one piece frames so the mounts don't always 'plug and play'. Paul Y told me great things about Earl Williams headers and it would appear that their mounts are favourite as well.

Take a look at my mounts Steve, they allow forward/back adjustment as well as height by using spacers...
