One thing I was never really happy about was the cycle fenders

So I took a mould off a random tyre

After creating 4 dummy tyre treads I attached them

    Fronts need finishing.
The Matt black paint looks a bit shiny, I reckon it will look better when it acquires some dirt.

as you say the 'matt' black certainly doesn't look it but that's easy to sort.

Yes Neil, you suggested long ago that I photo the tyre treads, get vinyl wrap made. But I was getting quoted £200 and I was too stingy, so came up with this plan instead.

    Credit where credit is due

I have a vague recollection that MyGasser suggested the idea of taking a fibreglass mould off a tyre, I think I dismissed it at the time, but have ended up doing it. If this is true, sorry Neil for failing to acknowledge this.

Since I reshaped the bonnet hole to image the new air filter, its needed painting properly. So I drove the truck out onto the street

This meant I could spray the bonnet in the garage

So today is flat it back day.
But there's a problem. One small area had a reaction to something and bubbled up into an ugly bogey. I flatted it back but to get rid of the nasty bit I'm back to bare metal , and some uneven ness.

The rest of the bonnet had come out ok (considering my novice sprayer status).
So, what do I do now? I'm worried that if I fill, sand and paint again I'll get the same problem. Tried phoning paint sprayer mates for advice but couldn't get through to anyone.

No worries folks spoke to Neil and have paint shop nearby.
