should be minimal fibreglass work on this but just bonded in some locating pins for chassis and some edging for boot surround

also between drying times had a go at replicating a 34 grill

im no engineer but this is my attempt at the butterfly wheel so far

little bit more done yesterday ............. I cut the butterfly with a jigsaw and have started to polish it before I bend it then will finish it off when done

wanted to start on the grill and as about to start it until I ran out of mig gas !!!!!!!!!
so as I didn't like the way the rear just finishes with an edge and make the rear of the chassis in view I got some trusty guttering that I fibre glassed on to give a rolled pan effect

bit more boring glasswork today but also welded the harness anchor points and mounting bracket for a scaled down parachute

Great build, that's gonna be a fun little totrod. I used to run a go-kart track and will be building a totrod for my boy in the next year or two so it's good to get some ideas- especially the steering wheel which came out sweet. The only thing I can suggest is where your cables wrap around the peddles you may want to put some sheaving(?) as you'll find like we did that the cable will fray and fail there regularly. Also we always doubled up on the cable clamps as a precaution. And the teeth on the dry clutches wear like buggery so chain wax and check chain tension regularly- does your engine slide/clamp down so chain tension can be adjusted? Keep up the good work. Steve.
