I decided that due to the amount of extra electrical stuff there is with the car that I would need to make some extra room in which to house it all as after loosing the glove box to it this year I really wanted that back so I set about modifying the bulk head to utilize the dead space in passenger corner where the heater used to live . also I wasn't very happy with the way the bulkhead looked after fitting the v8 as I did rush it a little and it just looked very untidy .
I also wanted to tidy up the driver side of the bulkhead by smoothing it out a little as it will be getting new wiring which will negate the need for the old troublesome cortina fuse box and the whole it will leave behind ;D
    heres how it looked before:

still lots to do but heres how it looks after today:

I needed to make additional space under the car for the new 3" exhaust and I wanted to tidy up the rather rushed effort I had done earlier in the year

I wanted to get the wiring out of the way as its one of those jobs were you are leaning on the car everywhere so once I have most of it done under the dash I can pretty much seal off the inside of the car and just concentrate on the outside without worrying about scratching it with any of the silly bits like that .
I decided to go with all new wiring as the old loom struggled to cope with all the new bits the injection and other bits and pieces had added to it plus the old ford fuse box space is now gone from the bulk head so the fuse box would have needed to be moved anyway
still lots more left to do on the wiring and I also have the alarm the injection loom nitrous controller and few other bits to do yet

clearance issue with the wheels now sorted . small mod to the chassis where the wheel is at its closest solved the problem 8-) got one of the wheel tubs back in and started to make up the box for the fuel cell to sit in then ran out of mig wire : I bolted the wheels up to the rear axle to get the correct spacing to the rear arches and all is looking pretty good to go now 8-)

pulled the engine back out to finish welding the mounts on the crossmember. then gave the crossmember a coat of etch primer and a couple of coats of black base coat. then refitted it and put the engine back in the bay for trial fitting the headers. that's where the day went down hill . the drivers side header is no where near fitting so tomorrows job will be sorting that out be it modding the existing one or making a new one I don't know yet but it'll get sorted some how ;D

drivers side header all done now bar a bit of a tidy up. ended up completely remaking it from 2 of the old ones but it now fits better than ever before with more clearance than either of the old ones had so a good result in the end .
just needs the welds cleaning up and then I may get them both blasted and ceramicoated .

    side tacked in place :

fully welded braced and trimmed to size . turned out really well with almost no warpage
