    Re: V8 2 door mk3 cortina wagon

    Saturday:
not a great deal to report really still doing bodywork and really can't get motivated on it at the moment but I have got the drivers side pretty close to being ready for paint now with just a couple of bit left to address still tail gate is ready on outside and the drivers door is also ready on the outside and I added a bit of colour to the inside today only in a base orange I had in the paint cupboard but its pretty close to the kopper pearl the car is going sadly though the paint decided to react on the last coat so it will have to be redone tomorrow now :

    Sunday:
well spent today sorting out the reacted paint on the inside of the drivers door got it in primer around mid day and set about stripping the rest of the old paint off the passenger sill while waiting for the primer to dry . once the primer had dried I masked off the bottom half of the door leaving just the window frame showing . I then applied 3 coats of pewter grey to the frame then one that had flashed off masked the back half of the window frame and flipped the door over to paint the front trim of the door this was then painted in pearl black . I then unmasked the the lower half of the door and masked the frame off and painted the lower half of the door with 3 coats of the Kopper pearl . once the kopper pearl had flashed off I then masked the front of the door to stop any clear coat getting on it and then gave the whole of the inside and the frame of the door 3 coats of clear .
