...to get this far with the Zodiac. True, I ran it for a few years with whitewalls and the straight 6, then it had a flirt with an Essex V6, 4-speed and 5-spoke Appliances before being dragged up to North Yorks in 1988 when we moved here. It went to Yorkshire Street Rods in 1996 for back halving, and returned with 4-links, coil-overs and a panhard rod supporting a narrowed 9". It then went into, er, storage for 11 years while I played around with the ex-Roger Grundy (RIP) '39 pro-street Ford Coupe (now owned by Terry Howes).
The Zody was exhumed in 2008, when it went to friend Pete's for another makeover. It's now got a re-built 302 (disastrous eBay purchase "race engine", yeah right) with Canfield ally heads sitting on a modified Capri x-member and a new TCI slushbox from Mr Summit. Sierra 4x4 spec Gaz front struts, Cossie Granada hubs and discs, Sierra TCAs with triangulated compression struts, a Capri rack and a 4x4 column complete the front end. It'll be painted in its original 2-tone grey, will keep the original interior and all the chromework will be refitted, so it'll look reasonably original (apart from the Centerlines etc!)
Loads still to do but here's some pics.
