    Yet Another Consul Capri

At last, after 20 odd years or so,my old Capri came out of its resting place and work will commence shortly as its now in the workshop. On opening the door we were met by 4 kittens who had made it their home,so had to evict them first. Its not in great shape,The offside A post being a bit of a worry, but in general ive seen a hell of a lot worse.
General idea is to keep it simple, for money and time issues, plus never personally been into too many big ideas-Too stupid and lazy I suppose.Have got a 1500 gt and 2000e box (well,if Stang isn't ****ed off with me as I haven't collected them yet!!-Sorry Paul, will be there soon.)Just bought some rostyles from Chinkamon,so should be some where on the way.
It was meant to be a Hooper Capri, but really do have serious doubts as its all a bit of a mess where the alterations went on,plus ,I really dislike the wooden dash .In one of the pictures is a Classic that I bought for bits, which has a decent bonnet and salvageable n/s /f wing, plus al lot more.
Anyway, hope you think the old girl is worth saving ,encouragement ,ideas and suchlike will be appreciated.I suspect I will be asking a lot of questions in the future.

Nice. Genuine Hoopers are worth a fortune now, you might consider r*****ing it....

If you can't be an example, be a warning.

Worth finding out for sure but wait for the mist to clear. Never liked Hoopers personally, but I think a lot of my opinion is formed around the rear lights which IMO don't look as good as the originals.

front grill is different on a hopper, there's a cill cover with hopper on it and a badge on the wing, they have a wooden dash and different leather seats, there's a cut out door pocket as well, i think the boot is trimmed differently

Well ,for sure its got the stars in the grill, all the seats, door cards ,rear light set up are Hooper, but it all smacks of easy to change bits.A bit like turning a normal Cortina into a ghia by swapping the tasty bits-not rocket science, but looks different. In a way im hoping its a fake as it will be easier to alter it to how I would like it.
