Good condition genuine Hoopers are worth the same as any good car, ie what someones prepared to pay. Great to see it emerge from hibernation but why the 20 year snooze?
Do not even bother listening to the suggestion of rodding it, this is a rare car.
If you want to **** another Capri up buy a junker and rod it. Before anyone starts I run a V6 Classic which I bought as such.
Is that your Classic as well in the back ground?
Well worth joining the owners club and the facebook group

i hardly think a 1500gt, 2000e box and rostyles will f**k it up. it's all bolt on stuff so it could be made original easily. no offence but it's his car and should be built how he wants not how a restorer wants. too many restorers end up scrapping cars they are 'going to do up one day' instead of letting them get (shock, horror!) modified. better on the road than scrap.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.

Good luck with your project. Do whatever gets it back on the road. I've subscribed to this thread now so I'll be lurking.

I bet those last 20 odd years flew by. It doesn't seem long ago that I laid up my Corsair and Capri back in 2002...
