seems it did get a body but I just dont recall it at all

In the immortal words of Fred Offenhauser............
"There are street rods and there are hot rods.
Street rods have a Chevy up front and a can of wax in the back.
Hot rods have a flathead up front and tools in the back."
It's a new one to me too.
Caption for this pic reads
"19th July 1977: Paul Jameson works on his MK2 Monster car in England. With a top speed of 185 mph, it is the world's fastest private road car."
Timetravel could probably tell you more... there's some more pics on his post on • View topic - Rolls Royce powered Jameson car

Thanks for those funny how some cars just slip by unnoticed I read every mag I could afford in the seventies but never saw this (although I'm sure I remember the free licence plate hot car sticker, unless one of the other mags did a similar one).
Seems he's the guy who originally built the Beast before selling it to John Dodd

I think it was Nationwide Steve.
This is the car I asked about on the John Dodd thread a couple of weeks back. The only time I remember seeing it was at a Crystal Palace drag show, must've been around '76. They were trying to start it on the bridge in front of the sports centre without success.
How'd the weekend go? Well, at the moment it looks like a dolphin that's been caught in a boats propeller.
What a car, it really is a monster, never seen that before. It would be a real shame if you're right Mopar. Fingers crossed someone will come forward and say it's being rebuilt.
the difficult takes time, the impossible takes a little longer
