Stick some pics up, thats the best way, and reg would be helpful. The POP you described sounds like pretty much how 80% of all POPs were.

    Hi Russ,
Here are some Pics Jimmy sent me of the Pop.
Looking at the car, the sills (small running board) to the rear arches look distinctive, as do the dash, sunroof and door panels.
Looks like it was finished to a high standard back in the day.

Looks like it was well put together ,is that sunroof winder from a triumph? as you say those running boards and not so wide rear arches are distinctive.
This is the place to be to find out about the pop.
    All the best Si.

    I'm here honeylamb!!

I don't recognise it from these pics though..............

If its possible to trace back to any previous reg numbers it may have had, that would help, unless of course its always been in Ireland.

It looks like the front wings are joined to the inner wings too, which makes it somewhat different to normal.

Who fancies trawling through the Pop history thread!!?

Geoff "Drive35" may be able to help but he hasn't been back on here for a while.

He's got 100's of old Pop photos going back to mid 70's

    Ron

I wonder what the sticker in the windscreen says?
The clue is in the name

Unique 'Rover' dash, spot the interior light and visor set up too, and you can just see a plate in the front seat second shot from bottom, it's gotta be in the Pop thread somewhere. I'll go have a look but thats gonna be a mamoth task, if im not back by friday, send in a search party. Right im going in......

Thats a good point, looks like it could be an old CC or club sticker, Jimmy, get thee to the garage.
Russ good luck with the trawl, where do you even start on one like this........
Jimmy, as mentioned, be worth a crawl under the back end to see if theres anything distinctive on the Jag rear, plate below the diff, pike nuts or anything like that.
I'd love to know more about it now you've found it, any ideas how "baby blue" it was, or last time on the road etc ?
    Cheers
    Pat
