I think these are from the london to brighton, not sure of the year though, there was also hundreds of old trucks & steam powered contraptions on the run as well...

NOTE THE TRANSIT BEHIND THE STRANGE TRUCK IN THE LAST PIC.

DOES ANYONE RECOGNISE ANY OF THE CARS OR KNOW WHAT YEAR??

P.S THERES A B REG PANDA IN THE PICS, THAT PUTS IT AFTER 1/8/84, THE SIGN BEHIND THE YELLOW CAMARO SAYS SLAUGHAM 1/2 MILE & STAPLEFIELD 3/4 MILE, POINTING LEFT!, I THINK I WAS TOLD THE ROAD IS THE A23 AS ABOVE AS WELL?

PICS ARE FROM THE IAN WALKER COLLECTION...

That would be about right. I was asked by Street Machine to lead the cruise in my 58 Chevy as they didn't have their Project Rover P5B finished in time. The drawback was that they stuck enormous Street Machine stickers to the rear side windows which were an absolute bitch to remove.

This is the Pop in the first photo, reg 828 EVW
(borrowed from Custom Cars & Vans by Richard Hudson-Evans)

The car was owned by Geoff Caves.

In the later pics the red A Tudor was featured in Sept '85 CC mag and the cars in the background would suggest mid 80s too
