Ban on petrol car sales and us

Just wondered how the ban on petrol and diesel car sales affects what we do here and if it is applicable to production cars only.

It ain’t going to happen in our life time so just drive the arse off your gas guzzling ozone polluting hot rod as much as you can and enjoy it before any more stupid ideas, rules and regulations come in from this useless government.my attitude is why should we all drive spastic electric unreliable things while the rest of the world are doing what they want still and not changing anything, good old England, plenty more to worry about I think!!

I see lots more in the statement than others ( as per usual) .

First thing is clarification of the actual wording not how it's being reported . Is it sales of new cars or registrations which has many other implications.

Won't affect me either way but don't forget the UN is commited to zero road deaths by 2050 which is driving the demand for autonomous cars, electric is just a smoke screen .

I can give the usual chapter and verse of how it will play out but I get tired of talking to myself so...yeah, it'll all be fine , we can carry on using our cars forever

As we get closer to the 2030 ban it will be interesting to see how the price of petrol climbs as demand drops.

Usual non-committing response from the FBHVC: https://www.fbhvc.co.uk/news/article...ines-from-2030

The registration of imported older vehicles after the 2030 cut off date is an interesting question.
