Reg number from chassis number

As above is there anywhere you can search the reg no from the vin number?

there was a guy on ebay a while back that did that , but he now only does vin from reg, so it must be possible to find out, think it has to be new enough to be on the dvla computer system so not something thats been in a barn for 59 years.....

Info is available via HPI ( Trade ) accounts. More organised owners club can often track down a car by chassis number but for their members.

my mot tester has got reg numbers from vin numbers for me in the past mark. they've got access to dvla system.
