    Taxed.

Just got my reminder to tax my 1931 Ford model A hotrod. Just did it on line, there was no V112 to answer at all and no it does not have a current MOT. I am now taxed for another year.

From feedback I've had so far it appears they are only using the V112 for post 1960 vehicles and earlier stuff is just being done as normal.

Mot'd my '61 vehicle last saturday and then taxed it online immediately afterwards,
There were no prompts to declare whether it was modified or VHI etc?
It was the same format taxing it as it was prior to the new system coming into play.

Another friend taxed a 1970 car just over a week ago and it asked her to declare VHI ? However this was not on a normal tax reminder as the vehicle had been SORN for awhile.

I'm guessing the fresh MOT overrode the VHI question ? It'll all become clear ( hopefully)

To add to your post above Kev,
mine had previously been taxed as historic a few years back but had been on sorn for about the last 2,
May help to get a clearer view on why some flag up for a declaration?

My rod is taxed till August having been taxed as MoT exempt last August. Got an email from classic line insurance saying substantially modified needed MoT’s from 20th May. So if stopped it’s legal, MoT, tax and insured but if a claim went in? MoT’d it yesterday but can’t declare it as modified until August. Then is it free tax or back to paying tax? Still confused by the whole thing!

A friend just taxed his '61 online. It was already Historic and he said there was a check box to declare it was standard and MOT-exempt.
