Looks like I got there a little to late, was going to leave Eastbourne at 12 but had to finish a job before I left, then the seafront road was shut for a bike race and we got redirected.
    Theres always next time.
See you at the Nos Nats?

interesting models Steve, you'll have to post that pic on UKDRN. The other car is Barry Boles' Blonde Bombshell rocket which ran at the Pod in 76/77 but never did better than 11s. The guy with the Zodiac powered rail could have been Reg Sommers who had one with a straight six later sold to Marty Babb or could have been Tony Anderson who had one with a V6...

Hi nick-just got a pile of hot cars for 30p each from Enfield Pageant-well pleased, only 29 more issues for the set!
Sorting new list out now-only 1 Street machine missing and 9 Custom Car.

Got talking to a guy whos real into land speed record stuff (knows Richard Noble) he was selling lots of record breaking models and a few dragsters this one was real interesting malcolm olleys pink panther a resin kit and the one next to it?...

He had some great storys about a superbird he see in a drive in the 70s painted pink and had a fur dash.He went to some drag meets in the 60s when the yanks came over,he also knew someone at the time with a zodiac powered rail that used to tow with a big buick-he said the buick must of been hopped up as you really got pushed back in the seat towing the rail n trailer.

Ive directed him to UKDRN and your site.
