    Biff - 68 camaro

Hi guys, i'm Biff, (known to the wife as Steve Bailey,41 , i got into cars at school, and bought my first (a mkII escort ) at 16, i started modifying it straight away, and almost every car i've owned since.
    i bought my 1st yank (a 1978 z28 camaro 4 speed)in 1997 when i got bored of my custom beetle.
this progressed to a tube framed, ex superstreet 1970 camaro which i built a blown dart blocked smallblock for, followed by a 76 transam, a 1970 ford torino and now, another tube framed camaro (this time a 68 ).
quarter mile times will probably be measured in minutes as the motor is a near stock 350 at the moment, with a bonneville like 3.0-1 rear end.

A 3.00 rear end can be put to rights with a serious hi-torque big block

    Lovely car Biff.

I put an aero scoop on top of the cowl induction on Deb's Camaro. I had to cut it back off and have the filter poking through a hole in the top. She couldn't see the lights when she was in the left lane.

Dusty, you can get those wide angle viewers (like they put on the back of mpv's and busses for reversing). Wayne has a couple of neat internal ones on his split screen race rail.

Sounds neat Alan...I kinda like the air filter poking through the hood though. It's got to be getting cold air in if nothing else.

Yep, all done and i even loaded the camping gear into it today (started building the towbar for the trailer tent and ran out of mig wire, bought new wire and ran out of gas after 3 inches of weld)

guess who's taking a tent instead????

see you at the weekend John.

Right, a little progress on the camaro, stripped and painted the front suspension and cross drilled and fitted my new discs and calipers.

Also, i bougt a few shiney bits

here they are mocked up with a pair of old carbs i had laying about

decided to mount the carbs sideways

heres one of the new fuel pumps and regulators

today, i spent a small fortune on braided hose and fittings, all i need now are carbs, heads, cam, pistons etc.etc.!
