Firstly a big thanks to Si for allowing us a space to post the ramblings from the National Street Car Challenge!
For those who don't know, this is a grass roots race series that has been running for about fifteen years now, organised by HotRod Gazette. The format mandates that you must have a real street car and points are scored at various shows and cruises as well as at the track.
The series is basically about turning bench racers into real racers, there's nowt too serious in it all, just a like-minded bunch out to have some fun with old cars. Anything from 20-second stock classics to 8-second street monsters can be found in NSCC, you can check out a full list of this years entries and up-to-date points at http://www.hotrodgazette.com/nscc news.htm.
As the competitors join the forum it would be good if you could post a little bit about yourself and your car and how you got into NSCC. Hopefully we'll encourage a few more along the way.
