Ever heard of a Chevy HHR SS Panel?

Ive not heard of or seen these before.. not surprising since they only built 216 of them in 2009!

More of a sod than a rod but i do like it.. https://www.facebook.com/HHRSSPanel/

    I like it too
I saw a couple of the " people carrier " versions when on holi didley day in Florida . I think its better looking than the podgy pt cruiser .
A " Hurst HHR SS Hearse " version might be a bit of a tongue twister !
I also liked the Toyota FJ re-vamp ( Very Tonka ! ) though the narrow grille looked a tad strange .
Some of these " Retro styling " cars & trucks are very nice , some ... not ! The new-new beetle is way better than the bubble with wheels "old new " one .

Designed by the same guy, Bryan Nesbitt, who GM poached from Chrysler.

The standard panel doesnt look too shabby but the SS looks great, sadly it only gets a fwd four pot turbo motor though.. sign of the times.

If you can find a used SS the prices are high.

You can see echoes of the PT all over that

My wife and I crewed for So-Cal and GM at Bonneville they had the HHR all be it rather modernised running ecotec, I love them.
The GM boss said they based it on the series 1 suburban.

    Oooff!

I saw pics of that on google and thought it must be a photoshop fantasy.. its real!.. wow, very nice.

Having the So-Cal graphics on it helps of course.

Though in production form i personally prefer it as a van (and not the 'half van' with the suburban rear side doors).

    Thanks for the pics.
