Now you have got it, enjoy it for what it is.

Like you, i would buy one if it was cheap enough inspite of their reputation for breaking down.

We are only here once, so might as well enjoy ourselves as much as we can.

    Cheers.

    Thanks Russ,

I even took it to work today. Had my first face off with a new Bentley (not Coupe) He was trying to get a big Jag to have a go, then he saw me in close quarters. He gunned it down the A456 Halesowen by-pass, he didn't know what hit him.
    Great fun
    Had my monies worth already.

I got the car cheap. Not always a good thing. Looking through the bills on the car which I presume most of them are there, totals to an outstanding amount of 25,403.10. Perhaps I ought to have second thoughts on this car, GULP. The last big bill was last May for 2235.60.
Anyway sod it, its fun. Till it goes wrong.

They are really nice looking cars. I love the tuscan. Judging by the guy on ebay that sells salvage ones they are hard to keep on the road. Dont people call them plastic coffins? My brother was gonna buy one with a knackered engine. He asked a tvr expert and he said that its a good opportunity to take all the crap performance parts that tvr put on that rover engine and replace them with decent performance parts that will make it more reliable.
    I`m jeolus.

    Hi Fordson,

You want to hope he doesn'nt alter his gearing as well before you race.

Those speed six's definately arn't geared for the 1/4 mile with a top end circa 190 MPH with the right gearing that would be in the low 11's maybe even just be able to break into the very high 10's if he can get it to hook up off the line, although in all honesty it will probably just break end of.

Good luck with your best of three.

On the plus side you could always go a little slower with your build, i am sure you can make your progress on your Fordson outlast the speed six mechanicals.

    Cheers.
