After ignoring it for 5 months, finally got some stuff sorted on sunday. BIG thanks to my son Aaron for pushing me & always being keen to help work on it. Also big thanks to John Tudor for coming over a couple of sundays & getting the sbc set up right. Now runs & sounds better than ever John found a few probs, changed jets ect in carb & changed weights in dizzy & few other bits n bobs. Wish I woulda got him round this time last year. After John left, we washed & polished it. ok, I washed, Aaron polished Few other bits to do this week & get mot sorted at weekend. Also need to get a few bits of the interior changed & then get out in it more than I did last year. After Johns help, should do a few more mpg now. Oh, & for anybody that missed it, from a few months back. Big thanks to Dave for the article & Steve for day taking pics.

hi Al, thanks for that. I have a 57 2dr hardtop, just need to replace a couple of outer floor brace sections and outer wheel wells. The floor its self is 100% solid. Body off would purely be to clean and paint under floor and chassis. Cheers, Ian.
Mine was braced like this but all the sills and floor braces were mostly done before it was taken off the frame otherwise I'd have also braced across the top of the door gap as well. Even with all the welding done hardtops still bend like a banana off the frame. Post cars less of a problem but I'd brace it to be on the safe side depending on what you're doing This site is great reference Project: 57Rustbucket Al
Hi, Top car mate . Just a quick question, when you had it on the rotisserie did you brace the body. If so how much bracing and where. (****, I'm green). Ian
